Lights

On my 70, my dash lights only bright up the speed odometer, gas gage and the milage but not the gears selection. Its suppose to though right? Might need to replace the bulbs. How many bulbs are there?

column or floor shifter?
If floor, mine did not light up at first had to rewire the ground and ensure the "brightness" was on fully to illiminate the gear selection. Again if floor shifter. 2 bulbs, 1 in each end of the left side of the top pltes that enclose the shifter

Mine is the column. Even when I turn it on brighter it still seems really dull, maybe the bulbs are just old. Are the ones on the column easy to replace?

I just counted 12 bulbs in my '71 dash. Its a pain to get out (mine was already out...I ain't THAT nice!:p) so replace them all.
