guy's
Have any of you had any issues with the leaf pads not fitting. I am currently installing a set of 2407c, 1 1/2" lowering springs on my 72. The kit comes with 4 pads. Two have a raised round hole that is too big for the hole in the upper spring perch and two have a rectagular raised bar in the center. The 4 old pads that were removed have a small raised round hole. All four seem to be the same. Did Hotchkis send me the wrong pads with the kit or is it possible that the car doesn't have the oringinal rear end in it? The springs itself seem to be fine. Its just the pads that are the problem.

MN72SS, I bought the complete TV kit for my 72. My pads that came with the springs are all the same. I had to cut two of them down to fit the spring perch on the rearend. There is a number stamped on the end of all mine 6059.
A good friend of mine works for Hotchkis maybe he can help, let me know.

I just did the same thing today. I had to trim the edges off the upper pads to install them.

Mike, could you send me a picture of your car so I can see how the ride height is going to be. I'm still two- three years away from getting mine done and i'd like to get an idea on how it is going to look. What size wheels and tire's are you running on your's? Thanks

Will do, I took a few tonight but I tired. I will send those to you tomorrow. I replaced leaf springs, all mounting hardware, installed eaton posi & richmond 4:11's and installed disc brakes. I noticed my car sat up about 2" higher when I was done.

Thanks for the info guys. Hotchkis must have sent me the wrong pads. Two of mine look like the 6059's you have pictured only mine are 6060's. I'm guessing they have bigger holes than the 6059's. The other two I have are 6061's and are way different. I'll call Hotchkis tomorrow and see if they will send me some new ones.

72BBNova, last night when I was reading this I was exhausted. I think I lead you down the wrong path. I didnt install Hotchkis spings on my car I just replaced the old leafs with new ones and all the hardware to boot. I got my springs from Tamraz as well as the hardware kit. I went from the 4 leaf to the 5 leaf and I'm not to sure if I actually like the new height of the rear. If you still want pics I will post them. I am also most likely 3 years away as well, my car was a complete tear down but man I love these old Novas!
