It would seem I have a toe out problem with my trailer axels since I have 3 tires that the inside are worn extremely. Anyone know if the trailer axel can be alighned? RM

You may have some cords coming loose inside the tires causing your wear problem. Toe-in is easy to see if it's out much. Deuceisloose 15th-July-2007, 04:53 PM Yeah, they bend the axles. Are you sure it's a toe issue? If so the tires will show inside wear as well as feathering. If it's just inside wear then is looks like they didn't pre-load the axles. A lot of trailers if you look at the axle tube itself it will have a peak in the middle so when they are loaded the tires are flat to the road. Real McCoy 15th-July-2007, 05:05 PM These are torsion axels and they are bowed. I straight edge checked and the tires are straight on one side so there is no toe in at all while the other side has toe in but since the front tire has no wear issues on that side I figure the front is right and the rear is probably straight with no toe in. This is the 3rd set of tires on the trailer and every set has worn the same, always killing the inside of 3 tires. RM | |
