I got to finish installing the tranny crossmember this evening until being attacked by mosquitos which drove me upstairs. Hopefully my friend will be bringing the hoist over tomorrow so I can finally get the 250 in between the frame rails.

Why didn't you paint the suspension components?

Well Guys, its simple. All the front suspension parts are going to be redone. The control arm bushings are shot as well as the original ball joints. I am going to remove all the front end parts once the car goes back together. I will have the control arms blasted and replace all bushings, joints, shocks, etc. Also I want to replace the brakes and wheel bearings. I could not properly clean the upper and lower control arms while still on the car.

Lookin good. Kinda looks like mine but I took the suspension appart to. Im currently getting all the bushings, and ball joints installed, but should have them back by thursday and the frame together in the next week or so. Why did you decide to keep the 250??

I am going with original for now. The motor was redone in 03 and it runs fine. I have a V8 Olds that I drive everyday. My budget right now also dictates that I go with the 250. My 13 year old wants a V8 installed so I told him to get a job and save his pennies. Post some pics when your clip is back together with the front end parts. Talk to you later Mike. I am leaving to take my son to the Battle Of The Bands at Rye Playland. It's time to Rock!!

Ya I gotcha if he wants that v-8 power bad enough he can have it on his own dime. I was driving a 71 v-8 skylark daily until recently, horrible on gas, but I miss it so im trying to get the nova road worthy asap. I should have the front-end parts back from the machine shop by thursday, and should have the subframe back together with in a week or so, I just hope mine looks as good as yours when its finished.
PS. How was the concert.

Hi Mike, The concert was amazing! Imagine getting to see 3-1/2 hours of quality music from 6 different bands for just a 5 dollar parking fee! You can't beat that. The thing that amazed me the most was that all the kids were between 15 and 20 years old and they all sounded better than most bands you hear on the radio. I was totally blown away. The bad thing was that my back went out on me so I can't get anything done on the Nova for another few days. If I don't rest it now I'll be screwed later. It's rough getting old! I can't wait to see your pics. My motor is ready to go in but I didn't come this far to let someone else drop her in so I will wait for my back to come around and put her in myself. Well, its back to the heating pad!! I will talk to you soon. Take care. Billy.
