Anyone running a 17x8 with a 4.5" backspace?
These are on ebay they say they will fit on the chart but you know how that goes. Good price though $500 for the set plus $75 for shipping.

some guys have had luck fitting 17x8's on the back of 3rd gens(with 4.5bs)...most have not.The fit alot better with 5" of bs or more.Remember all nova's are alittle different. Its best to get under there and measure. There are directions on tirerack.com on how to measure correct bs.bm

That's close,I would moc something up to make sure or wait for a reply from someone who may have that size.I have 15X8 with 4"bs and one side hits,4.5 or 5" of bs would be better, but your at the edge of the size window for a 3rd gen.

I have 17X8's on the rear of a 68. They have 5" bs and I cant get my finger between the fender and tire, but I do have a 2" drop. The tires do rub the inner fender on a bump or when 2 or more people are in the car. Also, the rear end was off center and required me to center it. Hope that helps..

I am running 17x8 with 4 1/2 with 255 tire and it rubs a little on certain kinds of bumps up on the inside of the passenger inner fender. I also have my stock sloppy mono leaf springs and bushings tho. I REALY wish i would have gotten 4 3/4 or 5 inchs of BS. Hope that helps.
