I hate to sound stupid but I really feel it after I Found out what I was doing wrong. My friend let me use his coil spring compressor to put in my new springs. After two hours of trying to line it all up, I got it in were I wanted it.
After I unscrewed The 3/4 in rod, I could not get the two hooks out.Just to let you all know,You can take out the pin that holds the hooks on.
Then slide the rest out.I hope I'm not the only one that doesn't know this as I will really feel stupid:geek: I don't want to see anybody go thru what I went thru.
Hope it helped:D

I couldn't find a spring compressor that I could get in the assembly. Luckily it had the stock springs, which were pretty much gone by the time I got to 'em, so there was no issue with them flying out at me. But I still made sure to tie a rope around the spring and lower control arm, just in case.

Steve 340, Yes, It was the type that goes inside the spring. The brand name was OEM. Rented it from Autozone.

Gloryhound, I too spent about two hours getting one side in where I was happy with it to find out I couldn't get the compressor out.I went back to autozone and started telling the guy what happened and he said,Why didn't you just take off one of the claws:eek:  Back home and worked like a charm after I learned how to use it! Anyway they are in and I should be finished with putting the rest back together this week.:D
