Just finished up the install on my new Drag race only control arms. It all went real smoothly until I set the car back down and it now sits about 1-1 1/2" higher!! I was kinda hoping it would be lower. The urethane spring locating pockets are what I believe is causing the increase in ride height. I was thinking of leaving them out as the installation was under way, but there is no pocket for the pigtail of the spring to sit in, so I left them in place.
Have to contact them to see if there is another option; either way it means the friggin arms have to be partially disassembled again to remedy the trouble.

They sure are pretty though. I am wanting to get a set as soon as I can afford them. Why are they drag race only btw?

I think they just try to cover themselves as to liability; they are lighter than their regular street parts(although not by much) They claim the uppers are 6 lbs.(stock are a hair over 10) and the lowers are hardly any different.( I don't know what they claim for the lowers) Stock lowers are about 14 1/2lbs. I didn't weigh theirs. I guess tomorrow I'll pull the spring cups out and see what I can do to get it back down.

Did you tighten everything up with the suspension in the air? If so, then loosen up the A arms where they attach to the car and tighten them up with the car resting on the front tires.

I thought the drag only arms had no provisions for sway bars?

I loosened everything when we first saw how it sat--NADA. It's the spring locators-they are too fat!
And correct, the drag units don't have provisions for sway bars.
If I had to pay for this stuff, there is no way in hell I would even consider it again. I was only doing it for the weight reduction, which it turns out, is only about 10 lbs! I could scrape that much dirt off the car for free!!

damn that blows..i can see exactly what your saying about eh srping buckets..going back and doing it over sucks..if you take out those pucks will the coil spring spin..i wouldnt think it would loaded up but once you launch it the spring might loosen up from the top tab and spin...
spending that much coin to save a few pounds sucks..time to save for a newer front clip

I removed the urethane spring cups this morning and the ride height is back to normal. My Moroso springs are flat on the end I had on top, so I flipped em over and put the pigtail end up in the stock pockets, and now the flat end sits in the flat pocket of the new control arms. A little alignment work in the driveway and it's ready to roll! I'm still not happy about having re-do the job.
I feel there should be some mention of the ride height issue in the instruction sheet so this could have been avoided in the first place.

Well, did it sit two inches higher than STOCK, or 2 inches higher than your worn or lowered (cut coils etc.) front end?

With the urethane pieces in place it sat higher by the thickness of the pieces which is about 1 1/2".
I didn't change springs. Now it's right back where it was, just like it should have been if the kit was made correctly.
