I have a 1966 Nova that I just put Weld Draglite 3.5 x 15's with 165 front tires on as most say they fit....the passenger side rubs the front fender with the wheels straight ahead, but the driver side is ok...the car does have disc brakes on it but otherwise stock front suspension...seems something is wrong/bent any ideas?

Most aftermarket discs move the track width out about 1/4" per side. Where on the fender is it rubbing? Are they dropeed spindles? has it been aligned yet?

It is rubbing on the lower front corner of the passenger fender....I guess I will have to take it to the alignment shop....

Does it do it all the time or just when backing up? Mine gets close when backing up the pulling ahead from the change in caster. Cant wait to buy the mini subframe.

I wish it was a 1/4 inch as that would have made my life of a salesman alot easier. Most kits widen the track width to atleast 7/8 to 1 1/4. We have a kit that finally puts the wheels at zero (meaning the same as stock).I have been selling them like crazy and sooner than later you will see them on members cars. This kit is the best thing since coca cola!!

I dont know what kits you've been using. The Superior spindles, and the ones I've used are about a 1/4". I'm sure theres others out there, but damn, 1 1/4"? That might as well be a foot to a Nova.

You gotta remember that when you're selling stuff you have to use the worst example you can think of. I've been running GM discs on my early Novas for years with no tire clearance problems, the difference between the drum and disc track can't amount to more than 3/8" per side. The quickest way to gain 1/4" clearance is to use a tire that's 1/4" smaller in that dimension.

Those wheels are , or used to be, available with 1.75 & 2.25 back space.
The 2.25 seemed to work better.
