i was looking at my stepdads el camino and noticed it was rear coil over. and was wondering how hard it would be to convert a 4th gen over to coil rear if you used a coil rearend, because theres about 6 elkys in the nearest salvage yard. and what gears are the elcaminos?. it dosnt look like it would be to hard if the rearend is already done for you.

The cars with C/O rears as you refer to them have a full frame and a triangulated 4 arm suspension with a coil spring and separate shocks. Your Nova is a unibody with no ful frame. You could convert yours to whatever you wanted if you have money or are a good fabricater but I'm not sure why you'd want to go to that style suspension. For drag racing most folks go to a standard 4 link with true coil over shocks and springs. Road racers seem to like the truck arm style rear suspensions. JMO, RM
