There is an opening in the lower contol arm (where the bottom of the spring sits) through which you can insert the shock, top first.

Dan (don't leave home without them):D

when i did it i didnt have it jacked up all that high but what i did was slide the shock through the bottom then put the top of the shock through one of the coils then rotated the shock up through the spring

Last time I did mine I had the front end raised about 4".
Compress the shock, slip it in through the bottom on the control arm. Easy cheasy.

Shock goes in from the bottom. Do not install it with the mount in side the spring.
The lower shock mount uses the bottom of the lower control arm as a stiffener and the bolts are not strong enough for different mounting.
