Leaf Spring Mounts

Ok I am going to upgrade to a F*rd 9" in my 1966 Nova with stock mono leaf springs...need some advice. I will not be tubbing the car.

Items I have

Competition Engineering Sub frame connectors #3014 (weld ins) I will be installing these to gain the extra wheel clearance.
Caltrac Traction Bars
F*rd 9" with no Leaf Spring Mounts - Do I order from Summit #MSR-7010 (GM loose mono leaf mounts) or #MSR-7025 (Universal Ford/Mopar leaf spring mounts)
What should I use for the rear sping hangers / sliders?

Also a buddy of mine tells me that on the early Novas the "line up pin" on the leaf spring locates the rear end to the spring & sets the pinion angle if you have the leaf spring mounts welded in parallel to the pinion. Is this right? Do the after market leaf spring mounts have these "line up pins" in their mounts?

Any suggestions corrections would be appreciated.....thanks in advance.

I'd be very wary of 'upgrading' to a no-name rear end like a F*rd. If it was me I'd get a Ford 9" and use the Ford/Mopar perch. None of the mounts is self-aligning, you'll have to do this by replicating the angle of a stock one or installing the rear with the perches just clamped on, adjusting them for the correct pinion angle, then welding them up.

for most stock leaf spring cars the pinion is angles +5 degrees up with the perches at 0 degrees. Once bolted in the car the pinion sits at like +3 degrees up due to spring angle when loaded by weight of the car..
