I have the front coil-over kit from Autofab Race cars... and it didn't come with any instructions. Did anyone else get an instruction sheet??
Do you need to drill a hole through the shock tower bracket supports to install the new bracket and support?? It looks kind of hokiem because the ring that I'm assuming goies underneath doesn't fit flush.

Yup, but I got them to fax me the instructions... got the one side installed, went pretty smoothly once I figured it out, will finish the other side when I get a few free hours sometime this weekend hopefully.

Definately let us know your opinion on the kit and how it went on. (pictures would be a plus) I was looking at purchasing it later on.

All went in pretty easy, haven't got a chance to set the ride height yet nor drive it, as I have a few more front end projects I have done and a few more to complete... and then I need to get the whole thing aligned. I'll let you all know how it goes once its all done.

I've given it some thought... I have already done all of the global west upgrades, and am in the process of installing a heim-jointed strut rod setup. I am going to drive it for a while like that, and see how I like it. Then, if I'm not happy with the steering after that will consider going to a Bill's II or stock power steering setup.
I still don't quite understand the advantages of a manual rack over the standard steering setup. Anyone have a link or quick writeup on why I would want to install a rack over what I have done already?

Also, one thing I don't understand is why Autofab decided to go with this type of coilver that requires you to modify the upper shock/spring mount. Why not go with a shock with a stock upper mount like this: http://static.summitracing.com/global/images/prod/large/hal-rcgmp3_w.jpg
and then use a conical spring that would seat in the stock upper spring seat, so you would retain a completely stock appearance in the engine compartment and have to modify almost nothing to get it to fit.
I think that would be a slicker setup, but this one works... and I didn't feeling like piecing everything together myself.

I contacted CPP and QA1 about the same thing. There is a place in Southern California that uses the shocks and springs you described in early Falcon/Mustangs.I have contacted him and he says he is working on a similar set up for the the early Novas
