Backspacing and Wheel Idea

i got a TH350 core sitting in my shed... came with my car as a throw in bonus... so someone i know just obtained some 88 Monte SS rims,and wants to trade me this set of rims + some cash for the tranny... so i like this idea. the rims are 15x7, and from what ive been able to find, theyre either 4 or 4.25" backspacing... i got a pic of similar rims, and my really horrible photoshop on a yenko nova pic i found online, with the rims chopped black (id like to paint them black)

what do you all think?:D

Someone else on here is running those wheels on a 3rd gen.
Also, IIRC, there is a nova or two on novaresource.com with the same wheels.

I looked for a set @ my local junkyards as well, thinking they'd be a cheap set of wheels (when I was first assembling the car).

They don't look bad at all, IMO...but there are wheels that compliment a nova much better.
Whatever you do, keep them natural/polished like the first pic you have posted. I've seen them painted the color of the car, or blacked out, and they don't look nearly as good IMHO.

They should be 15x7's with 4.25" backspace.

I've seen sets of 4 in decent shape sell on ebay for over $100...most used, unknown condition TH350's fetch about the same around here. So if you're getting wheels + ****$ then I think you're doing fine.

FWIW, the photoshop does NOT portray those wheels very well....

yea.. i would definatley wait to see how they look on the car as they are now before i paint them, but i like the style of the wheels, and its not like i can affored the TT2's i want know, so i can still be happy with these wheels...and i feel safe that i know theyll fit..

and yea my photoshop skills are very..... rudimentary at best:p
