Im also gonna be borrowing a fibereglass cowl hood from my neighbor and pulling back seat and whatever else i can out of the car.

Make sure you have a radiator overflow catch can. Bandimere will look at that first. Good luck and have fun!! I remember my high school drags at Bandimere even though it was 167.2 years ago.

Make sure you don't overlook the basics. Radiator overflow catch bottle, no broken or missing lug nuts or wheel studs, your battery is properly bolted down (factory clamp plate on a stock battery tray should be fine), no cuts on your tires, no fluid leaks, etc. If you have time when you get there to do some work on your car, unhook the end links on your front sway bar, this will help weigh transfer on launch (just be sure to remember to hook it back up). Once you stage the car and are watching the tree, go once the last yellow light comes on. If you wait to see the green light, you're too late and have a very slow reaction time. If you're running regular street radials, keep the pressures where they are supposed to be, they don;'t react like slicks do when you lower the air perssure, and don't do a John Force style burn out, just spin them a little to get the dirt and pebbles off them and don't do it in the water, you'll just spin water into your wheel wells which can drip onto your tires at the line. Good luck.

Some testing with street tires, recommends 5 psi over normal preasure 32+5=37psi.Be gentle coming off the line only give it what it can handle too much you'll only spin the tires, alot of people make that mistake on street tires get it rolling then get into it hard!
Good luck!

Oh, my local track has the High School class as well. I thought it was something else. I'll be racing that next year hopefully, I'm running out of money and still have no motor:mad:

dont weld the gears, buy a mini spool from summit for $100, you can have it in within an hour, i did it for my buddy's 73' 402bb car and it works good. and keep the back seat in for traction weight!
