rear 1/4 window moulding

So tonight I tried to put on the rear moulding (the piece with the deep groove in it) and am totally stumped on how it installs. There are 4 tabs that are bent to a 90 from the main piece and these push the piece way out.

I can see the groove in the roof that I think the piece is supposed to sit in but the 4 tabs prevent it from even getting close. Funny thing is that I removed all the trim a couple of years ago but can't remember how it came off.

Sorry if this is confusing, I have not been getting much sleep latley.

hey michael

did ya get my message?

the quarter trim pieces go on behind the window channel. if you take out the channel, you will see the holes in the tabs line up with the screw holes for the channel.

hope this helped

Doh, so you have to take OUT the channel. For some reason I was trying to make it work with the channel in.

Shawn you should just move out here and we can work on each others cars that way:D .

with my car being apart for so many years, i've been having brain farts on how some things go back together myself
believe me michael i've pondered moving that way. things seem to be better out there than around here.this area is way to automotive geared. i just don't think i could afford a house there:eek: :D
how about i ship the car there and you finish it for me :D i'm getting burned out on this thing lately:sleep: :beat: :beat:
