I just finished a bag of potato chips. Can I touch it? Can I, can I, can I?
Check the rest of the bottom of the door because it may be easier to skin it than patch it.

Glass was used on majority and garnet on heavy cancer areas. Doors will be getting new skins and needs a trunk floor. Also needs outer wheelhouses. Will get new quarters as laps to package tray are rotted out ( Sorry no pic). Didnt look as bad as it seemed before blasting. Also found a repair I didn't know about on the left wheel opening.

Dag-nabbit! Don't be bringing any more nova's out around here! LOL...
I'm just off Rhodes Road, off HWY 9 (Behind rothenbuhler engineering)...got a my '72 in the driveway and my father has a '70 under the knife--in about the same shape as yours currently. Also have a buddy in mount vernon with a '69.
Did the car used to be your driver? Maybe I'd recognize a pic?
Also, who did the blasting and who's doing the body?

Hey Bscman- Closer than you think ;) . I am at the corner of 7th & Dunlap. My brother also has a72 father/son project going on. Used to be daily driver but that has been about 12 years ago. Has been garaged since 97 with leaking rearmain, bad brakes and cancer :( . Took this long to save up for the restoration and new engine.
Blasting was done at Sandblasters in Marysville. Did a pretty good job. Body work is being done in Arlington at Warrens Auto Renovations. He does some really nice work. He currently has a 66 GTO conv, 72 Chevy pickup, 56 Chevy cpe, 64 Vette and 65 Mustang in the shop.

Cool, we probably used the same shop for blasting then...We've used a shop in marysville for several projects (nova, model T's, etc). They do great work with little to NO warping! The name is escaping me right now, I'll look it up later.
Car looks like a good solid foundation--definitely has less rust than my '72 had!
Keep us updated on the progess, and let me know when you get it on the road!!!
