I have been looking everywhere for the rear inner sail panels (ear muffs) for my 74. does anyone know if the 72 ones fit my year?

No, the '72 parts won't.

I think I might still have a pair from a '73-74. They aren't the nicest, but are functional and can be repainted to clean them up some.
