Covans gauge panels and shift lights.

I installed a covans dash in my car last year and have been wanting to add a shift light for sometime now.
I bought a summit adjustable shift light and went to install it today and couldn't find a good place to mount the thing.

Well, I came up with an idea. My column has tilt steering and I never use it. So I pulled out the tilt lever and bolted the shift light onto the column there.
Worked out pretty good and is out of the way yet easily visable. To adjust the knob on the rear I use my wife's makeup mirror.

Nice, looks good. It's hard to find a good place to mount gauges on 3rd gens, especially if it's not an a/c car...I'm still trying to figure out where I'm putting my gauges:rolleyes:

That's a lot of guages!

Here's my solution for my "critical" guages. These ones are the basic water temp, oil pressure and battery volts. I've also got my tach cut into where the clock/tach delete plate was. It fits PERFECT.

I've got a vaccuum guage and will be getting a few more guages such as oil temperature and tranny temperature. Those will be going in my custom console. I'll be running the console from where the cheap little speaker box I made is all the way back to my shifter.

Of course thats after I get the dam stage 3 th350 working...
