Hello everyone,
Let me just start by saying thanks for all the replies I got on my first post. Yall really know how to make someone feel at home.

Well heres the story of my new found goods..When I first bought my nova like 3 or 4 years ago the guy I bought it from gave me a big black garbage bag of "stuff" that goes with the car. I took one glance in there when he handed it to me and thought it was just a bunch of junk and threw it in the trunk. After that I never seen it again. Now fast forward to yesterday, I asked my girlfriend If she knew what ever happened to that bag of stuff and to my surprise she said she knows where it is and that she put it in or storage so I went and pulled it out and found some pretty cool stuff in there that may not be worth anything money wise but its a cool find none the less. Heres a list of what I got.
1. A 1973 Chevy service manual
2.The original owners manual with a personalized stamp inside of the first owners name and address, witch is right down the street from where I live
3.A bunch of keystone Klassic replacement hubs still in the boxes and plastic but with some corrosion
4.the original eight track
and last I found a dixco gauge set still in the box unopened from the 70's... Now I'm wondering If you guys think I should mount this thing in my car or no.I don't really feel the need for this but I figure It was intended to go in the car so why not.Oh I also found the tail light housings that was on my list of repairs so I can now scratch that off my list. The coolest thing about all of this is I can tell by the way all this stuff is preserved, that the lady(Shirley to be exact lol) who owned this car from the day it rolled off the lot, really loved it and took good care of it. Pretty darn cool if you ask me,Rich

Believe me brother I wish I could share pics but I lost my camera...I don't wanna re live the drama but I can tell you it involves a couple of drunken fools on a boat in the middle of the lake,a 9.3lb largemouth bass, and a $350.00 digital camera. The rest you can pretty much do the math lol..Rich

Hey,
I dont have a camera right know but I can tell you its not anything special. Its just a stamp you would use to stamp your outgoing mail with your name and address so you dont have to hand write everything. Rich

Yenko put a Dixco gauge set in some of the Deuces. Can you describe them?

yah I can describe it..it has (from left to right) a battery "ammeter",a water temp guage, and oil pressure. All these are lined up next to each other not stacked on top of on another. The model number is 852. I googeled it and tryed to look them up on ebay but nothing popped up. Oh and there is a sticker for wood grain. They are black in color and their "illuminated" and on the back of the box the slogan reads "the guessing's over with dixco gauges" and "used & recommended by "big daddy" Don Garlits". Rich

There's actually 2 styles in that time frame. One has the wood grain, the other has a kinda rough grey texture. Either are pretty cool. Mine is the non wood.

Do they look like this? If so, I may be interested in buying them if you want to sell them.

Yes sir that would be them..The only slight difference(which is kinda odd), is that on the ones I have the water temp is in the middle, the amps are to the left, and the oil pressure is to the right. The ones in the pic are the other way around. As for selling them, If you can use/need them more than me I guess I'm open. I was still up in the air about installing them anyhow. Rich
