Leaf spring width..

I am building my own set of caltracs & I just measured the width of my monoleaf springs on my 62 & it seems weird. It measures 2 11/16", is that odd or is it just me? It is what it is but I guess I thought they were always by 1/4" or at least 1/8" increments.

I just removed my springs as I'm moving them inboard. I checked the front eye and I'd say it's closer to 2 7/8" while the rear one is 2 3/4". At center locating pin it's 2 1/4".
I've built my own cal-tracs as well; initailly I modified and reused the poly bushings but I'm now going to make a set of aluminum bushings.
