I was gonna do the same & then I got kinda lucky. I stumbled across mine from a guy on Ebay, they were new Chevy II Only connectors at a lot better price, they look just like Global West without the powdercoat. After seeing them I would build my own the next time for a little better fit on the front.

I made my own but they required me to slit the floor. Not sure if you want them under the floor or up in the floor for clearance. I have several photos on my website in the Top Stck upgrade section if you want to see them. RM

dshop2000 on ebay is a great guy to deal with, and he does really great work.

I've bought a set of "caltracs" from him, that he made, a few years back...he no longer makes them (Possible due to patents?) but I'll tell you it was grade A work, and wish he was still making them so I could buy another set.

He was selling the for $199, and were every bit the quality of cal-tracs.

I haven't seen his subframe connectors up close, but I would imagine they are of the same quality.

We bought Jegster connectors for my father's 70, and used some scrap 2" square tubing in mine. Made them tight enough to the floor pan it had to be massaged a bit, but not quite enough to justify cutting up the floor. You'll love the added stiffness, even if it's just on a mild street cruiser.

I made my own with 1 1/2 tube I think. Even on my lowered wagon I didn't see a need to notch. I'd rather they get high centered in a speed bump than anything else. Held them up to hit the floor and they lined up fine with the spring plate in back. I think I have $40 in them. I'll try to get some pics up.

Made my own as well. Had to cut into the floor, but when viewed from the side, they tuck-up under the rockers so you can not see the connectors.
