Will 85 camero front disc brakes fit on the front of a 70 nova.

It's definitely not a bolt-on, if that's what you're asking.

Hi quack44,

I think 3rd gen (82-92) Camaros have struts on the front suspension as opposed to the upper/lower control arms w/coil springs like your Nova. That would make it pretty much impossible to fit the Camaro spindles onto your Nova. And if the caliper brackets are cast as part of the spindle assemblies that rules out being able to use those as well.

You could check & compare the wheel bearing part numbers listed for both cars. I doubt they're the same since Novas & Camaros went to a larger size outer bearing in 79. I don't think they would have gone back smaller again. But if they do end up being the same, you stand a chance of being able to mount the Camaro rotors on your Nova. Then you'd need to fabricate some caliper brackets to mount the Camaro calipers to the Nova spindles.

I'm not sure how the 3rd gen Camaro brake booster and master cylinder assembly attach to the firewall, but you might be able to use that on your Nova with some modifications.

3rd gen camaro/firebird only came with 10 inch rotors from the factory, so you might want to look for another source for front rotors

there is a conversion using the LE1 12" set up.

I am not sure where to point you to look. I read it a few months ago. It did not apply to my set up cause I was sticking with 15" wheels.

Unless you have the LE1 rotors and PBR calipers there is not much use going further.
