I am trying to put 15X7 on the front wheels they brought have 2 to 2 1/2 back space. can't see them working. They stick out way too far . Am pretty sure for a 7" wheel you will need between 4-4 1/2" backspacing (on my 14" ralley's I have 4 1/4 and on my stock drum setup it would rub, with my new stock disk setup it clears good)

I've run 235/60/14's on a 14x7 rim with 3.5" of backspacing
and
I've run 215/65/15 on a 15x7" rim with 4" of backspacing.

Neither had any problems with rubbing over bumps, dips, sharp turns, etc...and they don't look like they stick out too far...the 14x7's had the pefect offset, IMO....

This is on a '72 with 4-wheel drum brakes.
