I don't want my nova to be a street/strip car anymore. I have decided to make The old slova a nice driver. I'm going to start re-doing a few things, after a head swap, little things such as, replacing my old wire looms with fresh new black ones, rerouting my fuel lines making them a little shorter, getting new valve cover bolts ( I want the bit "T" lookin ones) and little stuff like that. I'm also gonna do paint too!! I'll post pics before and after!! Pics available soon!

I'm not taking anything off, I'm keeping the car as-is. I'm just not gonna be fully worried about hp.

That's the best attitude. It's about the drive.

i went back to a driver 5 years ago, changed my wild 350 to a mild 454, 4.10s back to 3.31 gears, 295/50 tires to 255/60 tires, 3000 stall/th350 to 1500 stall/th400, ditched buckets for bench, l-88 hood for stock

I've been thinking about pulling the cam out of my '71. Are you happy with the changes you made?

yes, it is easy to drive and the BB torque is great, very streetable, still fast, can run 87 octane all day, and hit the e-way to 75mph @ 3200, might put the l-88 hood back on, the motor is a stock 78' 454 with small valve oval heads #781, 8.2 cr, a crane 272 energizer cam, performer intake, marine Q-jet, msd6a box and 1-3/4 headman headers/flowmasters, stock trans with shift kit and 3.31 12blt posi. and made my own cal-trac style link bars.
