are 5 lug spindles required to do a junkyard disk brake conversion? Currently have 4-lug.
Basically wondering if I have to upgrade to 5-lug before doing the disk brake conversion.

arndog, don't know what year Nova you are talking about but you can do a front disc conversion on a 4-lug setup. a company called ABS Power Brake sells a kit for 1st Gen novas for about $400 (includes rotors, caliper, caliper bracket, master cylinder, prop valve, flex hoses etc). you can keep the stock spindles and steering arm. http://www.abspowerbrake.com/6267nova.html check them out.
only issue is this kit will only work with 14" or larger 4-lug rims. caliper bracket won't clear 13" 4-lug wheels.
i will likely purchase and install this kit in the next month or so.

So what cars from the junk yard to you need to rob the parts off of to convert a 1gen over to discs? Is there a list of cars and what parts to get off of each car somewhere?
