Starting to spray color

Talked to my painter earlier in the week. They started spraying the under side of the hood and decklid. Pulling the doors and painting them off the car. Etching in the jams. Won't be long now! I'll keep you posted.:p

OK...dumb question here...if they pull the doors off to paint them, how do they get them back on without chipping the hinges? I thought that was the reason you painted the doors on the car?! Also, I heard that if you are shooting pearl or metallic, you had to have the doors mounted vertical so the little bits would all line up the same way!??

You can edge the parts out and asemble the car without chipping the paint. It takes a few guys to help hold the part but it can be done. I have painted complete cars in pieces and then assembled them without making one chip. Takes alot of patience and guys who are not rammy. On Metallics, I have based the car out all together and then dissasembled it and cleared the car in pieces. Makes for a nice finish with no tape lines.

I've got alot going on between work and my family. Seems like every week something else comes up. I haven't seen the car since I dropped it off in October. As soon as I get it back I will post pics ASAP!

Hey Mark, what else did you change, anything?? When you do post pics, make sure you post before (when it was black) and after (the new color).

Only other change was had him install the 68-69 fender bezels. And as you know Bri no more stripes.
