If it helps ill be rebuilding engine and uping compression to 9.3,thats not including what ill get from shaving heads, and also putting a mild cam in, around .450 lift, might put vortec heads on it too, dont know, but will be a mild street car

The carbs are about the same design. What size are the carbs? What C.I. motor are you running?

Vortec heads are some good heads,Good flow small combustion chamber.

None of the above. Holley FTW.

both 600cfm and i have a 350, edelbrock has seen 10 hours of use and carter has been used at a shop to test built engines for a year

That performer intake isn't much better performance wise than stock, but it looks a little nicer and is a bit lighter.

That being said, I'd opt for the edelbrock if it comes with the intake for $125 if I had to choose between the two...if nothing else, you could sell the intake on ebay for $50 and recoup...or use it for your build.

If you want my HONEST opinion...find a cheap holley, rebuild it, and slap it on. I've got about $70 into my holley 600, and thats included a few pairs of jets, full accelerator pump cam kit, and complete vacuum secondary spring kit.

I'll take a holley over and eddy/carter any day.
