1Bad'66 1st-February-2007, 11:30 PM Welcome to the site. It looks like you have a good project on your hands. My 1st Nova was a '70, I got it when I was 17 also!! Pretty cool.
DAVES7DNOVA 1st-February-2007, 11:32 PM Welcome Young Gun,
A good place to start looking for parts is on this site. Check the 'Parts for sale' section. Also, you can post in the 'Parts Wanted' section. There are lots of Nova owners here and sometimes you can get some good deals. Have fun with your restoration.
Bscman 1st-February-2007, 11:45 PM Looks like a good time to me!
Seats from an early 80's camaro--I've got the same style in my '72... They're a comfy seat, and cheaper than factory 3rg gen nova buckets.
Looks like the rear window shattered, too!?!?
Keep us posted on the build!
zwolnova 1st-February-2007, 11:50 PM Welcome to the site Young Gun. Glad you could save that 70. Looks like great "before" pictures. Keep us posted.

Young Gun 3rd-February-2007, 09:09 AM thanks guys, plans for the weekend are to try and finish the tear down, which is mostly the interior, there is a little bit of surface rust here and there and i planned to try and kill it with POR15, I have heard good stuff about it, so im planning to look into it more, has anybody mediablasted their whole chasis/ body? im not sure how much media blasting costs but i assume it is expensive, but i am pretty much set on getting the body all strait and cleaned up, then going to work on the drivetrain
MK70SS 3rd-February-2007, 10:31 AM Welcome from a fellow 70 owner. Good luck with yours. Any problems getting yours up and running, your in the right place for help. :)
novanutcase 3rd-February-2007, 10:35 AM Don't worry about the work, you should have seen mine when I got it!
BTW, Have you decided what kind of car you are going to build? Will it be a drag type car, pro-touring or will it be a daily driver? You may want to ask yourself that before you go any further on the car so that you can get a plan together. I've built many cars and have found that it is a good idea to first decide what I want to do with the car. It makes it easier to keep focused on what you have to do.
Welcome and good luck! We are here to help so whatever questions you may have ask away!
