Hi there, I'm from the Team Chevelle site, looking for info. Do any of you know if Novas had red vinyl bucket seats available in 1968, and what the trim code would be? This is pertaining to this post on TC- http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=157773and while I was researching this, I couldn't find a code for red buckets in Novas either.
The info I have doesn't list a code for red Chevelle or Nova buckets, but there are documented cases of Chevelles with trim code 796.
Thanks for the help.

The 68 Nova could be ordered with black, blue and gold interiors. Welcome to the site, I visit Team Nova some and like it but spend most of my time here.

Team Chevelle is quite helpful, I own a Chevelle (that's what the 68 SS is). When I see these quirks in the cars, I try to get as much info as I can to try & determine what really went on back then.
So Novas weren't available with any red interior, bench or bucket? That will explain why there's no red trim code listed in any of my info.
My experience with Novas is turning them into dirt track cars back in the '80s.:o We sure screwed up a bunch of Novas and Camaros back then.
Thanks for the help, lots of good folks and nice cars here.

No red in 68. Team Chevelle is helpful, I had some questions about A 72 Chevelle I had and got lots of help over there. It turned out to be A real SS car. It was A 402 car with TH400 and 12 bolt Bench seat column shift car. I sold the car on team Chevelle to an ACES guy. He sold it and then He sold it and then he sold it...... :D I don't have A clue where it is now....
