did i pay too much for my gears?

hey guys just wonderin how screwed i got on my gear install it is the stock 8.5 10 bolt new eaton posi new 3.73 gears, new superior axles, al bearings and setup for 1518.00 seems kinda high but the parts they charged me for they gave me cheaper then i could get from summit ie posi 400 axles 259 ext just wondering if i got had on the price

sounds like you got around $1000 in parts and $500 labor, seems fair, all the bearing labor added to the price otherwise i'd say $200 to high. 3.73 is a nice gear!

Doesn't sound too bad to me, considering the labor rate around here for rear-end work. Be happy, that sounds like a good setup.

Seems close. I agree with 74 hatch maybe 200 to high. Not bad though. My guy would have charged 300.00 for labor.

Not trying to be the negative one here but 300 more bucks would have gotten you a strange complete 12 bolt.
