I was thinking that it would be cool if we had a featured nova each month. At the end of every month we could have 2 nominations taht aren't the nominator (cant nominate yourself) and send them to who ever is in charge then the three with the most nominations are put up and the people vote (once each) for their favorite, and the winner is featured on the homepage for a month. then repeat for the year, and if were feeling really good, we could make a clander at the end of the year. I was tihnking this would be cool to start for the new year. What do you guys think?

Maybe a sticky for guys to submit their most favorite pic, sell the calenders to help support the web site... Sounds like a good idea to me, also sounds like some work for someone though.

I've know of the calander thing being tried in the past at different sites. After all the hubub and every one saying that it would be great, pretty much the only guys that purchase them are the ones who's cars are pictured. So the ones who do all the work and spend the time and $$$ to get it done........Get screwed.

well then what about a featured car atleast then? that would not cost anything.

well we do that already everyday... anyone & everyone can post pics of their rides in a thread for everyone to enjoy, right ???
i started and maintain the Web-Link Library & Member's Rides... every post requires editing. i've since had Nightshade lock down the Library as it was getting too big to maintain... i've not edited the Member's rides as no one has added their links lately...
if you'd like everyone ta check out your ride, post up a pic, you spy someone's ride ya like, PM them and ask them to post up pics too... much easier that way...
and no additional work for a Moderator or SuperMod...

In case no one mentioned it to ya, Steve is pretty busy right now, and doesn't have time to add a lot of stuff to the site and keep updating it every week/month. If ya want to see the cars, as JohnNY mentioned there is a thread on members cars.

If anyone is interested you can build and order calanders from several online stores. At you Kinkos can even upload the pictures and pick up the finihed product locally I think.

i helped the Site for a while and know what these guys do all day when they're online. no one out there sees it but there's quite a bit of work to be done that's in the shadows. it's almost a thankless job too. not trying to say anything wrong or unappreciative but members don't really know how busy the Mods/Supers are. to have a regularly maintained "spotlight" requires much more than just typing a keyboard. it requires a commitment of time. this is a web forum of volunteers, everyone works, everyone has a life and things to do, it takes a lot of time here to be a Mod or Super as it takes work to run and maintain...
there is a thread in the first/second genner section asking for pics of rides, third genner section, i believe, has one too, i'm not sure off the top of my head if there's a fourth genner thread, maybe... we have Member's Rides with links to web-sites of our rides... no one is shooting down to be disrespectfull. no one is saying it's a bad idea, i think it's great myself, but i know (i think) what it would take after time, more time, More time to maintain... dealing with member issues etc takes a lot of time, the threads that require maintenance, there are quite a few... it's time & work too. there are already numerous places to spotlight our rides... why not post some of yours in one of the places we have to continue/add to our collections ???
i'll even try ta help and post one right here for ya... i think you should post more pics, maybe a smokey one too !!! :D
i hope i presented this ok, not trying ta be Rotten :D

Why dont you post a thread in 3rd gen section with nominees, a poll, and the idea that the Nova of the month winner post full pics, descriptions. You monitor it and make sure that everything goes smooth and after the year is up you can take those pics and make a calander and post it for purchase. I dont think this would put anymore work on the Mods.
What do you think Johnney?

So why the discrimination against 1st, 2nd and 4th Gens?
What is it, 3rd gen Nova of the month club??

I dont know if I could do it on such a large scale.
Maybe someone from those groups could start the same and have 4 different novas of the month by gen. then maybe make the calender a combo. 3 from each gen make the calander. I dont know.
Be back later , work calls.
I really didnt mean to offend anyone, just thought I could tackle it on a small scale rather than forum wide.
