squeaky front endyoungin69nova 18th-December-2006, 05:26 PM just driving in normal conditions my front right side squeaks what are the possibilities it could be? CDJr 18th-December-2006, 07:28 PM It could be... a) dry or worn bushings b) a pissed-off mouse in the right front side Bscman 18th-December-2006, 07:32 PM Grease everything and see if it goes away...it's probably bushings somewhere. Do you by chance have polyurethane bushings? They are notorious for squeaking (especially control arms). 72GreenRally 18th-December-2006, 07:34 PM I'm putting my money on (b)!!:D It could also be a body bolt that has backed out just a bit, allowing a couple of the body parts to rub and squeak. Lots of possiblities!!!! ProchargedchevyI 18th-December-2006, 08:20 PM Grease everything and see if it goes away...it's probably bushings somewhere. Do you by chance have polyurethane bushings? They are notorious for squeaking (especially control arms). I second that. I bought an Energy Suspension kit and mine squeak so badly when there's a lot humidity - which, in florida, is all the time. It very well might be the road noise if you have polyurethane. If you're ball joints or something of the like were faulty, you'd hear more of a clunk/crunch rather than a squeak. LTP 19th-December-2006, 11:38 AM also, try replacing the struts and/or springs. worn struts & shocks can make the whole front end sloppy and noisy. | |
