Several members have used S&S headers, pt # 5205 or 5205hc (coated).

Sachse rod shop seems to have the best price. I contacted them and they have no problem shipping to Canada using USPS so you can save the dreaded UPS brokerage fees.

You're lucky; my hooker f/w's rub the tires on sharp turns. I'm in the process of modifying them now.

I'm using rewarder 3/4 and don't like them. I have seen a couple of posts that suggest Hedman Elite 68168. I have friends that use Hedman and love them. I plan on trying a pair soon and the price difference is alot ($264 at summit). All of the others I have priced are $600.00 but I have not tryed them yet.

I'm getting ready to go through the samething with my Heidts front clip. I'm going to try a few different sets I'm borrowing from friends. If I find anything that works out good I'll let you know.

Have a customer's car in the shop with a Heidt's front end. Using Sanderson 1-3/4" blockhuggers as the car is bagged and they want it to go low!!

I am using the S&S and they fit nicely. The first set I got didn't have a sqatisfactory coating on them so they arranged pickup and sent me a new set. They were great . Deuce

I am using a set of Dawson headers with my Heidts frontend. They are step headers 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 with a 3 1/2 collector. Great fit and I have 2in. dropped spindles. No clearance issues. I am very happy with them. They will run you in the $800 to $900 range.

To me, this is probably one of the best threads on here so far. Let's keep this one going with some good input.

I've been wondering the same thing about headers for a while. Especially since Thursday when I just got a 66 project with a Heidts front clip :D . Its the Mustang II, not the Superride.

Does anyone know if there is a difference between header fitment on the Mustang II setup vs the Superride? I wouldn't think there would be.

Good job guys, keep the posts coming on this one. They had a sticky on here that started out like this, but kinda got sidetracked. This is exactly what I needed to see. Never heard of Dawson before, but they look like one mean setup. Might be a good way to go for me.

Anyone know how thick the exhaust port flange is on the S&S, Hedmans, and Dawsons?

Thanks

No problems on the fitment between Mustang II/Superide.
