Have not seen a before and after thread on the cars themselves. A lot of great looking Nova's here and would like to see what your cars looked like before you started and what they look like now even if not completed. I am going to post some of mine completely apart as soon as I can figure how to reformat the pictures. Maybe with mine all apart I need some pictures to show that it will be finished one day if I stay on it. Thanks in advance and looking forward to seeing the difference in everyones cars.

The guy kneeling has either had too much to drink or he is looking for wheel spinI think he is looking for anything dripping out the bottom. Oil, Gas, Trans Fluid, etc. He does look like someone that might drink to much at times.

I don't currently have access to how the car looked when I trailored it home (no wheels/drivetrain/interior/bumpers), but the first pic is after a quick buff, some black primer patches, bumpers/grill, and drivetrain. I got the car running/driveable first, then dove into bodywork.

Here's the first fun after everything was broken in (age 17):
http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k205/bscman/100_0120.jpg

Here she is under the knife doing some rust removal (Age 18). Car was stripped by hand to BARE metal pretty much everywhere. That's my father with the die-grinder--we originally planned on a 1/2 quarter, but ended up doing a full quarter. This car was put into a guard rail by the previous owner (trying to prove a 6cyl. really could get sideways).
http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k205/bscman/novaBAD.jpg

Here she is fresh after I painted her (Age 18). That's right, EVERYTHING except the front end alignment was done by ME and some help from my father. No shops for me, thanks!
http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k205/bscman/nova2.jpg

Things were pretty much put on hold at this point. Money was tight while I was in college/leo academy. Then my concentration went to my '68 pickup.

And here is the most recent pic (Age 22). The car is INCREDIBLY dirty (dirt roads, rain-storms, and no time to wash!). It shines when it's clean, REALLY!!!

Well, unfortunatly, i didn't have a digital camera until after the new engine was in.

When the car was aquired, it was bought for around $8,500 from a police auction, my grandpa picked it up because my dad used to have a 72 and he thought my dad would like it, so he bought it. My dad never did antying with it really because he was busy with his corvettes (autocross cars) and it wasn't until i got really interested in it that things started happening.

In my highschool autoshop (senior year) i kind of independent studdied and ended up removing the engine and replacing it with a 406 that me and my dad built. i basically assembled the long block, up to the heads, cam, intake, all that fun stuff and he got to do all the work massaging the headers into place and playing with clutch linkage. it's been a great learning experience.

Needless to say, we haven't done anything to the body (needs some paint work) or the interior (needs little to no work), so far only engine.

With that said, these are the current pics as of about a year ago. In a few weeks i'll post current pics, that include the interior torn up and all the wiring scattered about.. time to re-wire the chevy II!

this is also my first time posting pics.. lets see how it goes!

It actually sits on the car with the bar nice and parallel with the ground, just didn't turn it all the way until it stopped when we took the picture. Going to be painting one of the chrome bowtie caps to match the paint as soon as we get the time :) .

Well, here are a few of my '72 Rally Nova.

The first is from 1992 when I bought the car. The second is from very the end of 2005. The third is with fresh paint and stripes, done just a few weeks ago. I still have a lot of work ahead of me though...

This has been one of those lifelong projects...but I am slowly making progress.
