I buddy of mine has a set of factory ss wheels with the bands and the caps still in the factory gm boxes. He purchased them in the early seventies and never mounted a tire on them. Does anyone know what they are worth? I see in summit and jegs they make repos of the same wheel for about 120 a wheel.

They're only worth about $20-25. I'll give your friend $50 and we'll call it even. :D

Greetings,

I'd throw them on eBay for $400 for the set with no reserve and see what happens.

A lot of the newer wheels (including ralleys) are pre drilled/stamped for dual bolt patterns (why..I don't know..I dont see them on Mustinks very often). His will be right and worth more than the dual patterns. Also, the fatory trim rings are superior to any aftermarket piece.

These are the factory wheels that resemble magnum 500s.

It's the old supply and demand that will predict price,I have a set of JJ code 69 chevelle rally wheels that I prolly couldn't get $100 for, nobody seems to want them up here and they are mint I bought them in the late 70's there is no rust on them. The fact that they're NOS is really going to help the value, like Jason628 posted start at $400 on ebay. The right guy will pay big $ for them it's just a matter of finding him.

I believe summit is one place that has the dual pattern on the repop rally wheels.

Here is the link to the page where I bought mine from Summit: http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch.asp?N=700+400230+115&Nao=10#rstop

If you figure $121 for the wheel, $39.95 ea for SS caps, and $31.95 ea for trim rings.....$400 for yours sounds like a hell of a deal. I would put that on them as a reserve and go from there...JMO

What code is on the wheels...two letters, YA, AO, etc...
