It's finally ready for paint in the new year. I move in a couple of weeks and once I get settled it will get sent off.

Future Plans

New 17" Coys grey centered C-5's coming in the new year.

I have so far cleaned/painted up to the rear axels. Plan on doing the back half including new springs, rear overhaul including posi, and clean and paint next year.

Interior will be installing some 71 chevelle buckets, new seat covers all around and an attempt at dying all the blue interior black.

I have had the engine running once but I need to rebuild my carb as I believe the floats are stuck as gas has gotten into the oil.

Still need to hide/dress all the wires and change out the points distributor (not sure about whcih way I will go with that yet)

Hope to at least have it back on the road this spring (it has sat for the last 10 years) and drive the crap out of it!

Suggestions?

Thanks for all the help!!

Greetings,

A very very good progression pic. It took me almost 6 years to get mine back on the road again. It's hard to beat the feeling of the first time driving it in a long long time. You can laugh at this, but below is the first pic of me driving the car in almost 6 years! I'm sitting on a seat that's not bolted in and there were still lots of things to be done to it before it could see the street.

Looks great so far. Funny how everything takes longer than expected and usually costs more. Won't be too much longer and you'll be out there tearin' it up. :)

I think you framed that up very nicely "Here's where all of your answers have gotten me...." It is so exciting to see the progress on ones car, and to edge closer and closer to it being "done" ( is it ever done?)

It is great to have so many share your enthusiasm as well. You Alta boys should saddle up your Nova's this summer and come out to Lotus Land for

Jason, it cheers me up to no end to see someone else who is dumb enough to drive around with a seat not bolted down. I had an early project (way back when I had hair ;) that I was so anxious to drive that I took off in it just sitting on a wooden crate! Seatbelts? What are they??:o

Every time I used the brake or clutch it pushed me halfway into the back seat area!!
