Man what a mess, check out the post on the SYC site about the 69 Yenko Nova, now they posted pictures of a 70 Yenko Deuce with vin number 114270W352754 that was silver.Looks like their trying to imply that the car was rebodied, man what a mess on both the 69 Yenko and 70 Duece.Marlin, whats your take on the 70 Yenko Duece mentioned, who owned it or owns it??

We must be the experts they are referring to!!
They got me lost with the bickering and will have to re-read it.
Damn, I could read War and Peace quicker than I could read all those posts :D :D

Moral of the story....never question a Yenko! When you read these posts you have to feel sorry for these people.

Read the thread thoroughly. I think the whole idea is to expose the "good ole' boy" club who is involved with authenticating these super cars and selling them amongst each other. Sad really....oh well...

Thankfully, Steve's Nova Site discussions tend to steer clear of being pulled into controversies like that. Hopefully it stays that way.
AMEN to that Allen

Yeah, I am glad those differences aren't usually posted here. Because of threads like that one I can't get questions answered about really cool stuff...:D .. I have seriously considered deleting my accounts on 3 other boards and just hanging with you guys more often.... We just need A "day 2" area over here......:D
Tommy:) Keep those discussions on the proper forums ... This aint one of em...

I'm sick of seeing #'s matching cars they all start to look the same,if you have seen one red yenko nova you've seen em all. I don't think any of the so called supercars should be called #'s matching that are restored today. There is not an original part left on any of them, there justed date correct parts, and restamps ETC. I just bought a 70 nova with a COPO BE code 12 bolt rear in it and could care less about it. I say day 2 them all, thats what they were made for;) . Ed

I agree with both Allen, and Ron. This should be a neutral no bs site devoted to nova people. As I've said before, "take it outside guys".
Ed, there are a few deuces that do have just about everything original. At least 1 that I know of.:D

Schonye,Got it ,thanks! Peace treaty, thats a joke in itself! When you witness all this nonsense about what's real and what isn't, just in this one segment of the hobby, forget about GM in the U.S. ever releasing any historical info, even if they have it. For sure that info would prove many 'rare' cars are phonies. There'd be untold numbers of legal actions against GM for sitting on the info all these years, and against the people who ever touched, owned, or sold any of these cars.

I don't pay atention to these so called experts and what they say. A couple years ago I was going to a site where these experts post and it just seemed to me they are all in a click and that the only parts available to fix these cars belonged to friends of theirs who wouldn't sell them but wanted a fortune to install them. If you had a car that needed factory parts and ever wanted to have it certified origional you had no options but to pay their friends to fix your car then pay them to certify the car as origional. That chit ain't right. I always wondered who made them the wisest men alive. RM

Hey Dan,
Like the others have said, there is no need to bring those issues to this site - one place is enough!!
I'm sure you've seen the pictures, so I don't think there is much left to interpret. I've known about this situation for years, and took a lot of heat over it. It's a shame to see a rare car go through that, but in the end the truth came out and the pictures are priceless.
