U-Joint Help

Okay, went to the local parts store (Schucks, arg) for some new U-joints. I want something a little stronger than stock, if possible, but don't want to spend an arm and a leg.

The only two they carry are a stock type, and "GMB Performance" U-joint. Unforunately, both have grease fittings. Also, they retail for $5.99. Can't be too great...

Looking through a few catalogs, I need to know the width from end to end as well as the bearing cap diameter. Can I get a little help here?

'72 Nova w/ stock drive-line and stock 8.5" rear.

I'm assuming they are the same front and rear?

I'm running across two conflicting measurments. One says 3-15/32 width (translated 3.468), and another says 3.219...which is correct?

Greetings,

Go with the Car Quest brand of U-Joints...I've ran them for years in my Nova and can withstand lots of abuse. If I remember rightly they are about $12 a piece, but well worth it.
