Hey, I saw this car on the vettefest website and it is very nicely done. Does anyone know if it really is the pop hot rod test car? Also, is there any paperwork proving the tri power install being done by Dick's shop as stated on his show board?

I saw this car a number of years ago in the roped off area at Super Chevy Indy. When they did that in the early 90"s
It is the PH test car.
The hood really stands out. Wish there are more pics to it.
It does sound like a trumpet thou....Engine really breathes but the exhaust seems to be restrictive.
I haven't seen much paperwork with this carb set up.
Any others please chime in.

Capt, this car was just restored in the last couple of years. you may have seen Ray Morrison's Fathom Blue Harrell Copo nova. It has a 427 transplant by the Harrell shop as well as the same stinger hood. Supposedly, this car in question never had the hood installed before it was restored.

A pair of monsters!!
You might be right. Back in the day, I took photos of Chevrolet muscle cars and the placques that go with them, with information etc. So far I haven't found this car but the name you said does jog the memory some.
That, or he had other cars also that were roped off.
Love to at least hear them talk (rumble) together side by side.

The reason this question was asked here is because most of the members here do not frequent the Harrell site. I just thought maybe someone here would have more recent info on this car.

Wow, very nice car. I remember seeing a more recent picture of Anne Gibb driving a COPO Nova. It was pretty cool. This is my favorite COPO Nova. http://www.yenko.net/reunion/SCR75.JPG
There is nothing like a Nova with no chrome, poverty caps, red lines, and a bench seat. What would make it even better is if it is a collum shift car. Has anyone seen any COPO Novas for sale lately? I have been looking for a while and there have not been any.

I had a 1968 Chevy II/Nova Custom wtih the Grecian Green/lower black custom rocker trim combo. I loved that color! My 70' Nova I have now is the Code 43 Green Mist....almost like Grecian Green.

It's Annie Hartwig. Helen's daughters are Nancy, and Connie. Helen Gibb has the #50 fathom blue car. Annie's husband, who passed away way too soon, had a lot of information on the Gibb cars, as the family was/is close to the Gibb family. He was a very fine man.
The scruffy lookin guy in the picture with the orange/wht Harley hat is me.

I have the twin to Annies COPO Nova (mines #21/ Grecian Green etc) & it's FOR SALE! You have a PM with my cell #, so call me for an honest description if you're interested. All the COPO Nova's had bucket seats & floor shift w/ console.
I also owned the #44 Nova. It could be possible that it's the POPROD #2 Nova, but I'd like to see some type of documentation to back that up. It had 15 days to go from Gibb, to Harrell, to Courtesy Chev in Los Angeles. The 396 Harrell tuned Nova used in that article show it with a normal SS hood & 4 bbl carb & not a tri power with a 'stinger' hood.

Tony, I have a couple of sportsters. One in a basket, others an old 73. I don't ride much anymore. Guess I'm gettin old. That and being a volunteer fireman/ems, I have seen first hand what happens in bike accidents.I guess when your times up, it's up, but I guess I'm trying to help my odds.:D
