I need to take my 65 in for allignment. Everything has been repaced, it needs to get back on the road. I would like to find a place close to Lake Tapps/Bonney Lake/Buckley area, or even Auburn. I'd prefer to keep the distance to a minimum to keep the new tires in good shape. Anyone have any recommendations for a shop that knows what it takes to make an early Nova happy?
Thanks,
Chopper

That Les Schwab did a nice job on my old 65 hardtop. They are 2 miles from me, however they lost me as a customer when they wouldn't work on my Bronco after I lifted it. They said if they didn't sell it to me and do the install, they would not be able to warranty it. I let them know I didn't need a warranty, just needed the truck alligned, Rancho would warranty the lift parts. I drove to the Les Schwab in Auburn and they had no problem working on it. Its too bad the Bonney Lake store didn't get my business for the 4 sets of tires I have bought since they decided they didn't need my money. It's been a few years now and I still get pissed thinking about that. Perhaps I should suck it up and go back.

I had a '99 ford taurus in mt. vernon les schwab 6 times for strut replacements over a period of 3 months. After several 2 and 3 day repairs, and a few cancelled appointments it was finally done, and correct. The car had been in a minor accident and the front right strut kept failing. They failed to replace all the damaged parts, so all the new replacement struts kept self-destructing. When they finally got it right, I had two different struts on the front end so the left front strut was much firmer and wouldn't track straight. The alignment guy was the one that finally noticed the flaw.
I brought my '66 mustang in to the burlington shop for power steering issues. They insisted it was a '69 not a '66 (duh, they don't even look alike!).After 6 days in the shop and them ordering and installing incorrect parts (for '69) and damaging the front end of the mustang I took the car from them, and straight to another shop. They refused to pay for the damages they caused, and I had to take them to small claims court. It all worked out in the end, but what a pain.
The mt. vernon shop ruined 2 of my ansen slotted mags right after I had them polished. They used the wrong machine to mount my new tires. They apologized and gave me the two tires for free...but I was stuck w/o matching wheels for a few months. The other two had the weights on the outside after I specifically asked for them to be on the inside. I had to re-polish the damage.
I'll never do business with les schwab again...they definitely have "LES" than adequate customer service.
