I just bought a 10 bolt in replacement of my stock 4 lug rearend. I took engine cleaner to it and scrubed it down to metal. What is the best way to paint it and what paint is best to use (for longevity and looks)?
Thanks in advance.

Spraygun & something like DP90 if you want a semi gloss black. It's VERY durable if you have a well prepped surface.

POR-15 is great. I've painted a couple of rear ends with it one about 10 years ago and another about 7 years ago they still look very nice. The nice thing about it is that you can brush it on and it smoothes out to a nice gloss.
Good luck

Why not tear it apart and powder coat it? That is what I did to mine and it looks fabulous.

If I had to do mine over again, I'd have it powdercoated rather than use POR15 again. The POR chips off fairly easily on a clean (unrusted) housing.
