what can i do to ease the manual steering on a 64. dont want to put power steering in, so what can i do to make it tighter, less effort?

also where can i get a set of brake lines to put in a dual master reservoir? i am going to manual disc/drum, need lines to right side i believe the left and rear are ok?

any help, and any one with extra parts

You can do an idle arm bearing conversion, probably need a new gear box also. or you can do the bills II rack and pinion conversion.

as far as the brake lines go it's pretty easy to just bend your own lines but i think there is someone that sells them pre bent

You need an idler arm bearing conversion kit from Chevy 2 Only. They can also help you with the brake line.

I think one of the greatest things I ever did to my 64 2dr. post car is to install a set of camber locs. The eccentrics kept moving shortly after alignment was done. These are worth every cent they cost.

Smaller diameter front wheels or a larger diameter steering wheel! :D

It also depends on the master you are using I suppose. My CPP master looks great and the stainless steel lines allowed me to keep as much hidden as possible since the master cylinder outputs are out the bottom.

gloryhound is right, keep your stock (large) steering wheel, it's made large for leverage, and use some short and narrow radial tires, works great for me and I didn't mess with the idler arm conversion. Mine is simple to turn, but I have really tiny front tires on stock 15" steel rims from a late 70's Nova (to clear disc conversion brackets/calipers)....Brett in Ala.
