Thanks,

John

It's not really step by step, but there are quite a few photos of the work we did on mine at my site (link at bottom of page) Go to "My Nova" album.

Brettzer did a great minitub job and an equally good photo album as well.

I believe its the various LINKS within the thread started by NovaMile he is refering too. A good chunk of the links in that thread refer to other threads on this site and some of them I believe have been deleted with the various site cleanups. SOooo many of the links within that thread are nolonger working.....its too bad that the various threads are gone as they had tons og good info and lots of pics too. :)

Very cool.

Do you have any pictures of the Air ride and front end? What size rims and tires are you running?

Haven't set it up yet. I have had it a couple years now. Hopefully within the next few weeks it will start going on.
I haven't decided on a rim/tire combo yet. I just stuck the ones from my Camaro up in there to see clearances after the minitub. Those are 275/40-17. They are just shy of 11" tread. I still have lots of room with those. I will probably run something around 12" wide on the rear, around 26" tall...aywhere from 17-20" rims. I will have to get those before my rear setup though so it can be ordered to the right width so wheels are centered in the wells with the "dish" I want.

Good job on the minitub!

I was wondering, do you think you could get away with a 13.5wide tire on your tub work. The reason I ask is that is the tire I am trying to run and I may need more than just a minitub.

Mike, I don't think a 13.5 wide tire will work in a 1st or 2nd gen minitubbed Nova. Not without relocating the frame rails anyway. Brett cut into his rails and then reinforced them. I'd think that the 12 or maybe 12.5 would be the max width you could run. 3rd/4th gens may be different.

Well then I will have to move the rails in....There just ain't no way around it I guess. My deal is I need to retain the rear seat or else!(thats what she says at least)

I need to tighten everything up and also need alot of tire for 1500-1600hp. But I refuse to back half it...it's just in to good of shape to do that.

Btw...Nice Katrina pictures on your site. We got hammered by her so we know what that was like!

Pm me as I am in the process of narrowing up my stock rails to fit a 315 radial and will send you pics of what I have done.

I need alot of tire as I have a 447"SBC with 18*heads and a 98mm turbo going in it!!!!!!
