I have recently moved from my hometown in Michigan to Rochester, NY, without the Nova. :(
I have to wait untill June of next year to see it again. My wife is going to school here and I will have to rely on you guys to keep my spirits up. I am planning on one more trip back home before snow flies and I have a question. The ol' girl is in my garage, buttoned away from all the elements, except for mice. My question is this: besides using moth balls(they stink) what can I use to keep the little rats from getting in my car?(i know they'll find a way) I have heard that dryer sheets will keep them out. Has anyone heard of this? Also, will they crawl up in the exhaust? I don't want to go home to a mess in the spring. Any storage ideas will help...Thanks in advance, JD

I think you've done all that you can do to keep critters from your ride. Now cross your fingers and hope they stay out. I lived in Rochester NY for four years while I went to college. I attended RIT. Get used to overcast weather and lake effect snow friend, cause you'll have lots of it. It's beautiful there in the summer and fall though. Good luck.

Put the car in one of those Plastic Bubbles. I don't think any mice could get to it that way. If you can't or don't want to do that, I guess you can put a piece of tape on the exhaust tail pipes so no mice can go into your exhaust system.

Get a Car Jacket storage bag for your Nova. Kinda like a sleeping bag for a car....they work great and are reasonable, less than $250. Wayne at NNN can hook you up. Give them a call 717-252-4192. All of our cars are stored in these bags....

Greetings,
I use Irish Spring around the car to keep rodents out. I'm attending college in Rochester also, RIT to be exact. Hope you brought your snow boots! :D
Take care.

Not sure how big the campus was back then, but since i've been here they have added several new buildings and the student population seems to be huge!
So how's life after RIT?

Life is great. Beautiful wife, great daughter, we live in a beautiful home and having fun with the 70 SS 396. Plus, the Patriots are 5-1 so life is good. I think when I was at RIT, there were about 12000 underclass (1982-86)

Hey JD, welcome to Rochester. Weather here the last 50 or so years has been rather inconsistent:D. I'm sure it will get better soon. Anyway, get settled and when you have time, pm me and we can get together. If you like seeing 1st gens on jack-stands, with no drivetrain, stop by and you can look at mine:D :D ......btw for you ex RIT guys, they now have a D1 hockey team and they are starting to get competive at that level....probably go to a game or two next month.............
