Carolina's Chapter of NNN

Several of us Nova fanatics around the Charlotte area have discussed the possibility of creating a new NNN Chapter for the "Carolinas" The southeast seems to be all of a sudden without a chapter. The Georgia, Tenn and Fla chapters have reportedly all given up the ghost. We are going to be sending out a flier to any of the NC and SC NNN members to scope out how much interest there would be. Of course the chapter could be open to other surrounding areas other than the Carolinas. We are hoping to be able to have one or two events a year or more depending on interest and it wouldn't necessarily be limited to just the Charlotte area. For now it is just a search for interest. If you are interrested and would participate please PM me with your details and if we get enough interest, we will get further information back to you after we reassess the responses.

That's a great idea!The events that take place at the Speedway are a magnet for a Chapter,I've wondered about this for years.Altough lacking spare time at the moment and for the next couple of years,not to mention my '66 languishing on the back burner,I will become a member at the very begining,count me in!! hey yeah that would be great , im new to novas , i have a 63 wagon that im putting a lt1 in and id love so thoughts from other nova guys, not to many guys my age into old school cars, mostly hondas. so count me in and lets meet up, im already planning on the being at the goodguys show.

To participate in the chapter we are looking to form you must belong to the National Nostalgic Nova club. That is $30 or $40 per year for Nova Times mag and that allows you to participate in any of the club events. The show are for just Novas; but if the local chapter does any cruises or other activities you wouldn't need to have a Nova. I went to the nats twice without my car and it drove me crazy!

I am guessing you have one of the Pontiac Novas! I would say that probably qualifies as a Nova for our purposes; but you might take a lot of Joking at the shows! We have had close to 20 positive responses so far to our letter and here on the board. We had hoped for a few more than that; but it looks like we will try to kick something off. I'll post more later and get back to you that have responded

LOL No I plan on keeping the Ventura a Pontiac.But I also Plan to look for a Nova for my wife after I'm done with my car,But I would like to have an example of the different X bodies.Apollo,Omega,Ventura,Nova.

:D We have had enough interest to get a Carolinas Chapter of NNN started. :D We had over 20 people get back to us and we feel that is enough to get moving. To all of you who responded you will hear more from me over the next few weeks. I will plan to us PM's so if anyone else is interested, let me know. Also, for anyone who will be at the Good Guy's show at Lowes Motor Speedway in Charlotte NC on Saturday 10/28, or just looking for an excuse to go, a bunch of us will be meeting at the gas pumps on Pit Road at 12 noon to introduce ourselves and discuss moving forward. Hope you can make it. Don't worry though if you can't, you will hear more later anyway.:D
