I wouldn't mind going either. I have a friend from Mt. Vernon that wants to go on Saturday. I'm up for a road trip if anyone else is.

What kind of swap meet is this? All Chevy, or All everything? Anyone have any idea what my chances of finding 2 "396SS" 15 x 7 x 4.5 backset rims would be there?? I need 2 15" factory SS rims with trim rings so I can put bigger tires on the back of mine.....

All Chevy, or All everything? I'm not sure "everything" would cover what they have there. It's the biggest swap meet I have ever been to. It really has about 1500 spaces and it will be sold out and it covers about 25 acres. You can walk around it all day and never see it all.

I went a few years ago to meet the guy I bought my 74 From when he brought it up from Texas. You will do some walking as it is a decent sized show.
I think I ran into the same problem last year as the Hot Rod Nationals are having a car show in Sprinfield, Illinois (it's the same weekend). I went to that instead last year and am doing the same here in a few days again.
I wish they would schedule these things on different weekends. I would have liked to have gone to both. Oh well, maybe next year.

The Swap Meet has a little bit of everything. It is not a Chevy only swap meet. I have been going for 4 years or so with my Uncle from Kansas City. Gives me a chance to see him.

Previous years, I have have been focused on 64 Impala parts and not Nova. So, I can't speak to the Nova parts down there.

Good things:
1. Cars and Harmon's are there. You can call them before the meet, order your parts, and pick them up at the meet with no shipping cost.
2. Homemade Root Beer and fresh potato fries at the Swap Meet.
3. Lambert's Cafe in Ozark, MO...... Eat up.

Bad Thing:
Lots and Lots of junk... People come from all over with everything including the kitchen sink to sell.

2. Homemade Root Beer and fresh potato fries at the Swap Meet.Never tried the fries; but the rootbeer comes in quart milkjug and is ice cold.

I have attended the swap meet the last 7-8 years. You really have to sort through the junk to find Nova parts worth buying.

The area set aside for "cars for sale" is growing each year and there will be cars in the swap meet area.

The freeway exit will be jammed up after 9 AM, so plan on getting there early or you will be sitting on the freeway for awhile!
