New strip in Kaufman, TX?!

A guy at church was tellin my dad about a new 1/4 mile drag strip being built in Kaufman. Anyone heard anything about it? Supposedly it was supposed to be up and running in 2005 but there were problems with permits and complaints about noise and whatnot that caused trouble, but now all that is sorted out and it should be open sometime this fall I think. Anyways I was just wonderin' if any of you knew anything about it.

Well...there has to be someone around that knows something....or at least there has to be some sort of public record on it......

I will try to do some digging...but on a side note....heard last night from someone at the Christian Classic Cruisers show (by the way...tons of nice cars...especially a awesome orange 65 Pro Street Nova!)....that on labor day weekend...a Pinks style racing format (not Pinks the show though) going on at Texas Motor Speedway...well i did some digging and found out it is in Ennis..at Texas Motorplex...and its called PINKS All Out.....happening on Sept 2nd.....but that is all it gives out....no real word on start time...it does say all day event....interesting...anyone with any other info on this one?.....I am also going to post something in the Drag Racing Forum....maybe someone from somewhere else knows....
