All RSS is, is a way of publishing material from another site, on your site. For example, if Steve wanted, he could put a sidebar with CNNs latest headlines. The headlines are automatically updated by an RSS feed. I'm not sure how RSS would work for a forum though. If it was a feed-per-thread, I could see it.

I was looking through the FAQ page here on the site and saw a reference to RSS.....http://www.stevesnovasite.com/forums/faq.php?faq=vb_board_usage#faq_vb_rss_syndication. ..if it was enabled I would consider cobbling together an RSS aggregator for my PC at work. That would allow me to keep tabs on new posts without logging into the site. That is, I could read posts from the site and my nosey neighbors in the cube farm would think I'm working.:D
