i am looking to buy a set of headers for my 74 nova the ones that are on it right now are old and starting to rust out and never fitted very well i plan on gettin the headers and modifying them for o2 sensors and possibly a egt gauge i have vortec heads and am installing a tko 600 5 speed trans with manual linkage and im not sure what headers to go with something reasonable that sits close to the floor pan would be nice i have power steering i know its a tight fit on the side but like i said i will no what i need to do to them before i send them to get coated anyway so a slight dimple or two isnt a deal breaker id like to not have to man handle them tho
any help would be great just need the basic 1 5/8 tube 3 in collector header its going into a 3 in x pipe with flomaster muflers for now and dumps in front of the rear axle will but some 2 1/2 tail pipes when i find a set for a decent deal
than you very much

Greetings,

I run the Hedman Headers on mine without any issues. I've got the 3" collectors so I would think there would be enough room for O2 sensors. Fitment is just fine and I have power steering. Plenty of room. I can't remember what they cost...I want to say around $189.95 from Jegs.
