I've noticed some people have a breather cap on p/s valve cover, my engine is set up where as I have that elbow pluged into that grommet and the hose running to bottom of air cleaner base. Is there advantage of either one? I would think if I went to a breather cap, then I would have to change the bottom base? thanks

The elbow with hose to the air cleaner is correct.
Mine isn't set up that way because I can't get reproduction parts to line up. I have a repop air cleaner and the angle of the pipe that connects to the hose connected to the elbow doesn't line up right.

Are you trying to use a straight hose or curved hose Allen?

I can't recall. It's been awhile. I trimmed it, still couldn't get it to work and have the air cleaner base sit like it should, got p.o'd, and pitched the hacked up hose.

Your hose should look like this Allen:

I have the same problem with the elbow to air cleaner connection. Using the Edelbrock RPM intake. Raises the aircleaner base just enough to cause problems. Needed to bend the elbow tube to make it work. Earl

Thanks, I will leave as is with the elbow. Just was wondering if performance is effected with either setup, one being better then the other or same.
